Job summary

FIS in the United States (Illinois) is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive new business for Card Issuing and Payments Solutions with regional and community banks. You will build a pipeline from prospecting and industry networking, and position our card programs as strategic growth levers.

This hunter role emphasizes outbound activity, discovery, executive-level engagement, and end-to-end deal ownership, including negotiations and closing.

Qualifications

• Experience selling credit and debit card issuing, issuer processing, or payments to regional and community banks.
• Proven track record of self-sourcing opportunities and building pipeline through proactive prospecting.
• Strong understanding of card ecosystems, issuer processing, networks, and card program management.
• Ability to engage executive and line-of-business stakeholders across banking functions.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and events.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through cold calling, outbound prospecting, referrals, and industry networking.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline focused on net-new regional and community bank clients.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and grow card portfolios for financial institutions.
• Lead discovery conversations around growth, engagement, efficiency, and digital transformation.
• Own the full sales cycle from outreach to negotiation and contract execution.
