Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks a Senior Manager, Capture Management (LED), to lead the Launch and Exploration Capture Director team. Based preferably in Chandler, AZ, the role oversees end-to-end capture efforts across functions to boost win rates and shape strategy for major opportunities.

The position requires a 10+ year background in government/defense capture, top security clearance eligibility, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or another relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in government or defense industry.
• Proven track record in leading cross-disciplinary business development, proposal, or capture teams.
• Experience managing full-cycle capture activities including strategy, resource planning, and customer engagement.
• Experience using Salesforce and following the BAP.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with prior experience briefing executives and influencing decision makers.
• Understanding of FAR and government contract and payment types (IDIQ, FFP, Cost Plus).
• Ability to lead both local and geographically dispersed teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
• Active Top Secret/ eligible for SCI (TS/SCI) clearance at the time of application.
• Able to start with Top Secret Clearance but must be able to obtain SCI upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional capture teams to plan and execute end-to-end capture activities for major opportunities.
• Develop and execute capture strategies and tactics that result in competitive assessments, effective teaming strategies, and robust prices-to-win analyses.
• Formulate clear Win Themes and Value Propositions for each capture initiative; develop and execute capture strategies, win themes, value propositions, and price-to-win.
• Analyze customer needs, market drivers, and stakeholder organizations to inform capture strategy.
• Cultivate and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, including team partners, industry associations, and customer decision-makers.
• Coordinate closely with line-of-business leadership, finance, contracts, global supply chain, technology, and engineering.
• Use Salesforce and Business Acquisition Process (BAP)/sector processes to manage captures and drive win rate.
• Implement sector-specific processes that enhance overall capture win rate and secure large-scale opportunities.
