Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-disciplinary model coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate designs across architecture, structural, roadway, and MEP disciplines into federated, clash-checked models.

You will drive standards using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, mentor staff across offices, and ensure model health and interoperability while coordinating with clients and subconsultants.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination for transit and multimodal projects, integrating models from architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish, document, and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows on Autodesk stack.
• Mentor and guide production staff across offices to build institutional capability.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverables and handoffs.
• Perform quality checks for drawing consistency and layer guidelines.
• Provide basic engineering support tasks and assist in design calculations.
