Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate models across architecture, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver federated, clash-checked deliverables.

Responsibilities include running Navisworks clash detection, establishing CADD/BIM standards, mentoring staff, and ensuring design consistency with agency and DOT criteria.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated, clash-checked model throughout the project lifecycle.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish, document, and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows aligned with Autodesk and Bentley tools and DOT requirements.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables and layouts.
• Support QA/QC by crosschecking drawings for consistency and proper layering.
