Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects in the United States. You will coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver a federated, clash-checked model throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires expert Navisworks, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Revit skills, plus strong knowledge of agency standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design and MEP.
• Runs clash detection in Navisworks and leads resolution across disciplines.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentors production staff and provides design sketches for deliverables.
• Develops BIM Execution Plans and model-based deliverable scoping.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model requirements.
• Performs related engineering support tasks and assists in design calculations.
