Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline BIM efforts for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to create federated, clash-checked models.

Responsibilities include Navisworks clash detection, BIM standards enforcement, mentoring staff, and collaborating with clients and subconsultants to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM coordination or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, structures, roadway, and MEP to deliver federated, clash-checked models.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce BIM/CADD standards, templates and workflows.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise on LOE and scope.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverables.
• Support general design calculations and transmittal preparation.
