Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Sr. Buyer to manage procurement for projects nationwide. You will solicit bids, analyze proposals, negotiate terms, and administer purchase orders from scope through closeout.

This traveler role supports field teams across multiple states, up to 90% travel. You will collaborate with engineering, material control, accounts payable, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery, compliance, and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of procurement experience, preferably in construction/engineering.
• Four-year college degree in a business-related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.

Responsibilities

• Purchase highest quality equipment at lowest cost per specs and drawings.
• Prepare and issue RFPs; evaluate proposals and pricing timelines.
• Negotiate best/final pricing with shortlisted suppliers.
• Administer field purchase orders and closeout processes.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and accounts payable.
