Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to oversee project controls for a multi-discipline EPC project. The role includes direct support to the Sr. Project Engineer, quantity monitoring, contract administration, planning, scheduling, procurement, and reporting.

You will interface with clients, engineering, subcontractors, vendors, and project management to communicate status and drive project success. Occasional travel and relocation for longer projects are required.

Qualifications

• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Lead safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and ensure site safety compliance.
• Willing to travel extensively and relocate to project locations for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Represent in a professional manner in all client interaction activities.
• Provide contract required reports (weekly, monthly, schedule).
• Develop and maintain master project schedule and 6-, 3-, and 1-week plans.
• Manage project controls: productivity tracking, risk log, and cashflow forecast.
• Direct Field Engineers and coordinate procurement, subcontract administration, and submittals.
• Lead budgeting, cost forecasting, and change order processes.
