Job summary

MasTec Industrial seeks a Senior Buyer to lead procurement for projects nationwide. You will solicit, analyze, negotiate, and expedite purchases, ensuring PO integrity and timely delivery to sites. The role includes close collaboration with engineering, field teams, and accounts payable.

This traveling, project-based position travels up to 90% across the U.S., with per diem and mobilization support. A strong emphasis on safety, ethics, and on-time project execution is required.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Purchase high quality equipment/materials at the lowest cost per specs.
• Research and evaluate suppliers on price, quality, and delivery.
• Prepare and issue RFP packages to qualified suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering to answer RFP questions.
• Evaluate proposals against RFP requirements and terms.
• Negotiate best and final pricing with shortlisted suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with vendor pre-qualification processes.
• Coordinate with field engineering, material control, and AP.
• Monitor and administer field purchase orders.
• Promote policy adherence and audit readiness.
