Job summary

BDO USA, Llp is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to plan and direct analysis of complex processes enhanced by automated systems. The role requires expert proficiency with tools and methodologies, and the ability to drive work with minimal direction while mentoring IT staff.

You will build relationships with stakeholders, analyze business activities, produce system specifications, document requirements, and guide the rollout of new software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or MIS, preferred
• Five (5) or more years of experience in IT, required
• Exposure to relational database concepts, required
• Experience as a Software Developer or Analyst, preferred
• Prior experience in a professional service firm or military, preferred
• Prior leadership experience, preferred
• Project Management or Agile certifications, preferred
• IIBA certifications, preferred

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with key stakeholder groups
• Understands business activities, systems, software, and processes within focus area
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand problems and enhancements
• Produces specifications for new or modified systems
• Documents requirements using templates, diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes
• Works with IT staff to develop new systems and software
• Evaluates emerging technologies and software solutions
• Performs build-versus-buy evaluations
• Oversees implementation of new systems and software
• Provides reference documentation of systems and software
• Plans and facilitates validation and testing
• Facilitates knowledge transfer to operations team
• Creates and maintains project and resource plans
• Identifies and mitigates project risks
• Maintains project controls and budgets
• Contributes to roadmaps for portfolios and products
• Coordinates vendors for project initiatives
• Other duties as required
