Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to help drive process improvement and organizational redesign. This remote, U.S.-based role requires expertise in Agile/SAFe, process modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with veteran affairs projects.

You will lead analysis, design future states, and enable transition planning while ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering complex projects.
• Expertise eliciting and documenting requirements, processes, and workflows.
• Proficiency creating specs, user stories, use cases, and process diagrams.
• Experience with UML/BPMN and modeling tools.
• Proficient in Visio, Lucidchart, or similar docs tools.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficient in JIRA and Microsoft Project for PM and tracking.
• Understanding of databases and basic querying (SQL).
• Strong analytical skills, data interpretation, and presenting findings.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to business terms for stakeholders.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to run workshops.
• Mentor junior analysts and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Organizational, deadline-driven, and multitasking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on process improvement, redesign, change management, and performance measures.
• Define and develop business processes, policies, roles, responsibilities, and metrics.
• Conduct current-state, gap, benchmarking analyses and organizational assessments.
• Plan and implement future-state design, change management, and transition plans.
• Interface with customer, IT, and client services across projects.
• Oversee quality programs, systems, processes, and compliance.
• Apply Agile and SAFe to align strategy, portfolios, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and agency guidelines.
• Coordinate with business and tech teams to determine system requirements.
• Deliver presentations and training on measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis, set objectives, and monitor outcomes.
• Provide guidance to staff according to policies and management direction.
