Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee the facility's revenue cycle functions, supervise staff, and ensure timely, accurate financial processes. The BOM will oversee census, billing, collections, deposits, and resident funds while ensuring compliance with all regulations and internal policies.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and coordination with clinical and admissions teams to support financial integrity and resident services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least five years in long-term care billing or finance.
• Additional accounting coursework recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise business office staff and delegate duties.
• Meet payroll deadlines and manage time-off requests.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all RCM areas.
• Oversee census, billing, collections, adjustments, and deposits.
• Handle Resident Trust Fund procedures with regulatory compliance.
• Conduct 72-hour financial meetings with new admissions and explain obligations.
• Monitor cash handling and segregation of duties.
• Explain remaining obligations at discharge and coordinate with families.
• Oversee Medicaid Pending and related escalations with guardianship as needed.
• Coordinate month-end close and data integrity for trial claims and reconciliations.
• Lead accounts receivable for private pay and third-party payers.
• Strive toward RCM goals and implement action plans where needed.
• Coordinate routine RCM reviews and communicate findings to leadership.
• Prepare documentation for auditors and resolve G/L variances.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and families.
