Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Business Office Manager (BOM) to lead the center’s revenue cycle operations, supervise staff, and ensure policy compliance across census, billing, collections and resident funds.

The BOM works closely with the Executive Director, Revenue Cycle Manager, and CBO to meet deadlines, manage Medicaid Pending, and optimize cash flow while delivering compassionate, compliant financial services to residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in long term care billing and collection experience preferred.
• Accounting/finance coursework recommended.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business office staff and delegate authority as needed.
• Meet payroll deadlines and approve timecards for reports.
• Ensure policy compliance and timely completion of RCM processes.
• Manage census, billing, collections, adjustments, deposits, and write-offs.
• Oversee Resident Trust Fund procedures with compliance to regulations.
• Explain financial obligations to new admissions and review admission files.
• Monitor cash handling controls and segregation of duties.
• Discuss discharge financials with residents or responsible parties.
