Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support Network Operations by analyzing data, driving terminations, and enabling timely moves before term deadlines. You will collaborate with multiple business units, lead sprint planning, and develop actionable insights for leadership.

The role emphasizes advanced Excel skills, data interpretation, and strong communication, with a hybrid in-office schedule two days per week. Prior health plan experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Requires 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Health plan experience (managed care, government payer, academic).
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vLookup, conditional formatting, and handling large data sets.
• SQL or Python experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay engaged on planned/upcoming large-size network terms and related project meetings across all LOBs.
• Partner closely with business owners to determine business priority and execute sprint planning.
• Provides analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and works cross-functionally to develop business solutions.
• Develops, prepares, and analyzes reports with complex analysis and data for management review.
• Works cross-functionally in analyzing, designing, and developing business solutions; coordinates with internal and external resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
