Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of MEP systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping to sustain a safe, comfortable environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, trade certification or apprenticeship, relevant licenses, a valid driver’s license, and strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, pumps, and refrigerant systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• Valid trade license/permit as applicable (Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate, Boiler/Steam licenses).
• May require Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record.
• Basic computing skills with Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Experience operating HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems across buildings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs per standards.
• Inspect and repair equipment, belts, bearings, and piping; monitor energy management.
• Conduct safety and fire/life safety inspections as required.
• Document activities and respond to emergencies and concerns.
