Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in West Palm Beach seeks an Operating Engineer responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor energy management, and respond to emergencies to ensure comfortable, safe building environments.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, relevant licenses, and proficiency with HVAC, boilers, pumps and controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/apprentice program preferred.
• 5+ years operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Relevant licenses may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, etc.).
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across buildings.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and perform repairs as needed.
• Monitor energy management, adjust controls, and ensure safety compliance.
• Repair doors, fixtures, and perform general building maintenance tasks.
• Respond to emergencies and support life-safety inspections per standards.
