Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Lead Building Engineer in Maryland to oversee day-to-day operations of building systems and staff. You will monitor HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment, coordinate preventive maintenance, and supervise contractors to uphold safety and standards.

The role requires 5–7 years in the field with supervisory experience and familiarity with BAS/CMMS. 100% in-office, with strong focus on safety, tenant relations, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory, training, or mentoring experience.
• CFC certification preferred or willingness to obtain as requested; licenses required per local/state/national rules.
• In-depth knowledge of BAS, energy management software, CMMS, and building ops platforms.
• Familiar with fire/life safety equipment/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment operating conditions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Oversee service contractors and ensure code compliance.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers/technicians; set performance goals.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to maintain operations and resolve issues.
• Oversee vendor scopes of work and contract compliance.
• Conduct regular building inspections and address deficiencies.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure proper execution.
• Record readings and ensure building systems operate to standards.
