Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Lead Building Engineer to oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems. You will supervise engineering staff and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient performance and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, coordinate preventive maintenance, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with tenants and managers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of industry experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory/mentoring experience.
• CFC certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of BAS, HVAC, and electrical controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment condition.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Oversee service contractors and ensure standards compliance.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers/technicians.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers; resolve issues.
• Oversee safety compliance, PPE, and safety training; follow codes and OSHA/NFPA requirements.
• Record readings and ensure building systems operate per standards.
