Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team and oversee maintenance, repair, and operations for tenant satisfaction, safety, and building efficiency.

The role requires extensive HVAC, electrical, and plumbing expertise, strong supervisory experience, and a focus on energy management. The position is 100% in-office, with duties including budget preparation, safety training, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Ten years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Five years of supervisory, training, and mentoring experience including appraisals.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain; licenses as required by local/state.

Responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor energy usage and ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee contractor work and tenant improvement projects.
• Prepare budgets; control inventory and purchasing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Engineering staff; set performance goals.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers on operations.
• Oversee safety protocols and compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA; manage lockout/tagout.
• Maintain documentation and service logs; coordinate emergency response as needed.
