Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced facilities technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across the property portfolio.

The role emphasizes adherence to codes and safety while maintaining building operations and efficiency. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of relevant experience and Universal CFC certification, with strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 8+ years' experience in electrical systems and HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC or refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintains and monitors building equipment including mechanical/HVAC/plumbing, electrical, lighting, and life safety systems.
• Prepares estimates of time and materials; orders necessary supplies.
• Operates and maintains energy management programs to minimize operating costs.
• Oversees and inspects work by outside contractors (landscaping, HVAC, cleaning, etc.).
• Performs specialized tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, and locksmith work as needed.
• Uses work order systems and emails; responds to emergencies and customer concerns.
