Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety.

You will ensure compliance with codes, support preventive maintenance, and lead energy management initiatives in a facilities environment. The role emphasizes safe operations, adherence to company policies, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable building performance for clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Licenses may be required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety and control systems.
• Ensure facilities and building systems meet applicable codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain energy management programs to maximize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to meet/exceed rated life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Apply standard principles to accomplish complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example, build consensus, and promote CBRE values (RISE).
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within teams.
