Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. You will support preventive maintenance, manage energy use, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across facilities.

The role requires strong organizational and mathematical skills, with experience in building operations and a Universal CFC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses per jurisdiction may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, life safety, HVAC).
• Adhere to codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain energy management and preventive maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergency repairs and routine service as needed.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials.
• Review building inspections to ensure systems operate within design specs.
