Job summary

Lincoln Property Company seeks a senior Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team, oversee all building systems, and ensure tenant satisfaction. You will manage maintenance, energy usage, safety programs, and vendor relationships to maintain high building efficiency.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staff development, and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, with an emphasis on after-hours readiness and strong customer service to tenants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• At least five years of supervisory, training, and mentoring experience including performance appraisals and disciplinary action.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain as requested; licenses required per local/state/national rules.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, energy management software, CMMS and building platforms.
• Ability to travel daily to assigned properties as necessary.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, BAS, fire protection and life safety systems.
• Strong contract administration and project management skills.
• Familiar with blueprints and code requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication with tenants/vendors/teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor building energy usage and ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee contractor work and manage tenant improvement projects.
• Prepare budgets; control inventory and purchasing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Engineering staff; develop and implement performance goals.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure reliable operations.
• Oversee safety protocols and compliance with OSHA/NFC/NFPA; manage lockout/tagout and inspections.
• Maintain detailed documentation and service logs for building equipment and safety records.
