Job summary

cw is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, repairs, and keep a clean, safe environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial building operations, valid trade licenses as required, and strong knowledge of energy management. You will coordinate with property management and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, steam stations, control gauges, distributor panels, valves, thermostats, diffusers, and related equipment.
• Verify field conditions and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Monitor Energy Management.
• Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors; perform general repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance per C&W standards, including filtration, cleaning coils, and inspections.
• Inspect engine room equipment, backup generators, pumps, and electrical rooms; replace lamps and signage; ensure clear access.
• Check emergency exit signs/lights and coordinate fire/life safety inspections as directed.
• Document and report activities to supervisor; respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and company directives; complete required safety training and dress code.
