Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking an experienced Building Engineer or Sr. Building Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of building systems and infrastructure.

The role requires hands‑on technical skills, strong knowledge of commercial systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment while providing excellent customer service. The candidate will work with Engineering Management, occupants, vendors, and other departments to maintain

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and schematics helpful.
• MS Office proficiency and CMMS experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot major building systems (HVAC, boilers, BAS).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures and schedules.
• Respond to alarms and equipment abnormalities; ensure safety and reliability.
