Job summary

Action Property Management, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to oversee daily building operations, coordinate with external vendors, and ensure HOA compliance across all common areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience, preferably in property management, hospitality or commercial property management.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Familiar with the Uniform Commercial Building Code.
• HOA experience is a plus.
• Hands-on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting experience.
• Fire system management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Team player attitude.
• Must be available by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies.
• Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems to include mechanical, electrical/electronic, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC and water circulation system.
• Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors.
• Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program.
• Collaborate with General Manager on modifications and improvement to building systems, including control software.
