Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Building Engineer for the Boston Seaport's premier 900,000-square-foot Class A office property. This role focuses on reliability and performance of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building automation, with a 3rd shift schedule.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with daytime operations, delivering safe, efficient operations while minimizing tenant disruption at a landmark

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of job-related experience in building engineering or facilities management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive maintenance and repairs for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Perform inspections and ensure compliance with codes and CBRE standards.
• Coordinate with daytime teams and outside contractors as needed.
• Lead shift-driven operations and optimize system performance with minimal tenant disruption.
• Document work orders, maintain inventories, and report on building performance.
