Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Building Engineer to oversee on-site building operations and maintenance for a facility in North Reading, MA.

You will monitor the BMS, manage a preventive maintenance program, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable operation of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems. The role requires responding to emergencies, performing building walks, generating performance reports, and driving energy efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least four years of related experience or trade school training.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and preventive maintenance programs.
• Certifications: Universal CFC certification and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust BMS for efficient operation.
• Design, manage and improve Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Engage vendors for routine and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and hot/cold calls.
• Record tasks in the work order system and document deficiencies.
• Lead energy efficiency initiatives and develop KPIs for building operations.
