Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Building Engineer to operate and maintain complex building systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and building management systems.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and work to minimize energy use across the facility. The role includes coordinating external contractors, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building equipment (HVAC, electrical, life safety, etc.).
• Maintains professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
• Maintains building lighting systems and completes repairs as needed.
• Prepares estimates for tasks and ensures materials and tools are available.
• Oversees and inspects work by outside contractors (landscaping, HVAC, remodeling, etc.).
• Performs specialized tasks (carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, locksmith) and inspects building systems.
• Uses work order systems and responds to emergencies and customer concerns.
• No formal supervisory responsibilities; provides informal guidance and coordinates tasks.
