Job summary

ECS Group is seeking a Building Enclosure Principal to join the Pacific Building Science + Infrastructure team in Roseville, CA. You will lead enclosure consulting projects and act as a senior technical expert in investigations, assessments, testing, and design consulting.

You will mentor junior staff, manage projects and budgets, and collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, engineers, and owners to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 12+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Registered Architect license required
• Certified in at least one of the following preferred but not required: IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP); UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure consulting projects and serve as a senior technical expert.
• Provide technical guidance and review reports and deliverables for accuracy and quality.
• Oversee projects to align with scope, standards, and ECS policies.
• Mentor junior staff and Associate Principals.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new project opportunities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
