Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Building Automation Lead Field Technician to lead BAS field teams across multiple locations in the U.S. You will manage installation, startup, testing, commissioning and closeout for mission-critical data center projects, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and vendors.

The role demands strong knowledge of HVAC/BAS systems, Niagara and Distech platforms, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on BAS installation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 5 years additional BAS installation and field experience.
• Experience with Niagara and Distech BAS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install and coordinate BAS/HVAC controls systems with subcontractors and field teams.
• Assist in startup, commissioning, testing, and closeout of BAS projects.
• Maintain project documentation and daily site reporting.
• Provide input to estimating and takeoffs for proposals.
• Travel up to 75% to project locations and coordinate with clients and vendors.
