Job summary

SmartTech Contracting LLC in Washington, DC area seeks a Building Automation Field Technician III to support installation, startup, commissioning and closeout of BAS/HVAC control systems across mission-critical facilities in the United States.

You will lead installers, coordinate with engineers and clients, and help ensure on-time delivery, safety, and adherence to project scope. Travel up to 75% is required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred along with hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Two years of hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work remotely when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and startup coordination of BAS/HVAC control systems.
• Support commissioning efforts and document as-built conditions.
• Provide project progress updates and communicate with clients and subcontractors.
