Job summary

AEI Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Building Assessment. The role involves performing complex property condition assessments on commercial properties, monitoring construction or renovation projects, and assisting with energy and ADA audits.

A background in architecture, engineering, building forensics, or construction management is required. The position requires 8–12+ years of PCA experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years of experience performing forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions.
• Knowledge of various property types and entitlement/permitting processes.
• Familiarity with construction best practices, building codes and delivery methods.
• Previous experience in construction administration/engineering/architecture or PCA projects.
• Experience with HUD/Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines and Property Needs Assessments.
• Advanced writing and communication skills; proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Make forensic assessments of major building systems and distressed conditions.
• Take photos of site and building systems and document findings.
• Conduct interviews and research on property maintenance history.
• Review PCAs and assist with cost estimating for budgets.
• Train and mentor junior project managers; may lead complex site visits.
