Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Bridge Technical Director to lead HDR’s major bridge program within the Transportation Business Group. You will provide strategic technical direction, staff leadership, and client coordination for complex, long-span projects across diverse teams.

With a focus on innovative design and construction methods, you will mentor engineers, oversee QA/QC, and drive collaborative solutions that meet HDR’s standards and client needs.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/MS in Structural Engineering.
• PE or P.Eng license with SE preferred and reciprocity ability.
• 20+ years in bridge project/client management, with long-span projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, directing, and monitoring large multi-disciplinary bridge projects.
• Provide technical oversight and cross-team coordination.
• Deliver design and production leadership for bridge projects; engage with design teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise staff across locations.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures and on-site technical support for major bridges.
