Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Bridge leader to champion the technical direction of major bridge projects within the Transportation Business Group. You will direct design teams, coordinate multi-disciplinary efforts, and mentor engineers while shaping strategic pursuits.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, advanced analysis, and collaboration across offices worldwide, aligning with HDR’s employee-owned culture and commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) with SE preferred.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience and leadership in major projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee large, complex bridge projects from planning through delivery.
• Provide technical oversight and cross-team coordination across disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop staff through training and reviews.
• Support marketing and client relationships for major bridge pursuits.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and industry standards are applied across projects.
