Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Professional, Structural Engineering - Bridges in Valhalla, NY. You will guide high-level structural work, oversee design and construction, and manage cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant bridge projects.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, a NY PE license or reciprocity, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel may be required for project work across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in New York State or via reciprocity.
• Proficient in structural principles and design/build processes.
• Experience with rehabilitation, new design and construction projects.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations, and record-keeping.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Apply high-level structural techniques across lifecycle stages of bridges.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Oversee cross-functional teams for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to convey findings.
• Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
