Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer - Bridges in Troy, New York. You will provide high-level technical guidance for investigation, remediation, and construction of bridges, coordinating with owners and teams across projects.

The role requires a NY Professional Engineer license (or reciprocity) and 7–10 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and communication abilities to guide junior staff and ensure QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 7 to 10 years of post-education engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in New York State or able to obtain via reciprocity.
• Proficient with structural engineering principles and design/build processes.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations, and QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced structural engineering techniques across project phases, from concept to operation.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; prepare safety and phasing plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, hours, and materials.
