Job summary
WSP is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer- Bridges in New York, NY to lead bridge-focused transportation projects. You will guide analysis, design, and construction support, develop contract drawings and specifications, and mentor junior staff while supporting business development and client relations.
Ideal candidates hold a PE license with 7+ years of experience, strong writing and communication skills, and knowledge of AASHTO/AREMA standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering required.
- 7+ years of post-education experience.
- Professional engineer license required.
- Strong knowledge of building and infrastructure planning, design, and management.
- Knowledge of codes, regulations, and record-keeping.
- Past leadership experience and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in the United States immediately.
- Commitment to safety and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Technical lead on bridge-focused transportation projects.
- Lead analysis, design, and construction support for bridges.
- Develop contract drawings and specifications.
- Support business development with technical proposals.
