HDR is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a senior leader in the Bridges and Structures group within HDR’s Transportation Business Group. The Major Bridge Technical Director will guide technical direction across large bridge projects, lead staffing and training initiatives, and ensure HDR standards are applied across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (P.Eng) with reciprocity via NCEES.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience with leadership roles.
• Experience as EOR or design lead for major bridge projects.
• Knowledge of long-span bridge design and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, directing, and monitoring large, complex bridge projects.
• Provide technical oversight and cross-team coordination.
• Deliver design leadership for bridge production and design teams.
• Manage complex long-span planning and analysis tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers and build high-performing teams.
