Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Bridge Engineer for its Seattle-WA or Tacoma-WA offices to lead structural engineering on transportation projects. You will ensure design quality, safety, and compliance while guiding a diverse team through concept, design, procurement, and construction stages.

You will collaborate with cross-functional groups, manage complex bridge projects, and contribute to growth, innovation, and client development within a dynamic practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• MS in Civil Engineering with bridge-focused background preferred.
• 12+ years of post-education structural design experience with emphasis on bridges.
• Experience with NDOT and other Nevada agencies; RTCs, Counties, and Cities.
• Engineer license required; strong knowledge of seismic design and codes.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage budgets, and coordinate teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive strategic leadership for structural engineering and project delivery.
• Assist in management of transportation projects and programs.
• Apply high-level techniques to complex infrastructure projects across all design phases.
• Function as a project manager and supervise major bridge structures work.
• Support growth of structural engineering work and client development.
• Ensure compliance with safety, QA/QC, and regulatory requirements.
