Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer for the Mountain Pacific Transportation Engineering Team in Tacoma, WA. This role involves analysis, design, and assessment of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures in a public/private context.

You will work under supervision to apply theory to practical structural solutions, develop numerical models, calculations, and plan sets while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project goals.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with numerical modeling and calculations for component design.
• Prepare plan sets, quantities, and construction cost estimates; review submittals.
