Job summary

Jacobs seeks a lead structural engineer to deliver long-span and complex bridge projects across the US, guiding design teams and providing construction support. You will engage with clients, direct staff, ensure quality and schedule, and contribute to thought leadership.

Requirements include a Master’s in structural engineering, a PE license (SE desirable), 15+ years as Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer, and proficiency with Midas, RM Bridge, CSiBridge, LARSA 4D, and Sofistik.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in structural engineering or related discipline.
• PE license with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• 15+ years of professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer.
• Experience with long-span and complex bridges (cable-stayed, arch, segmental).

Responsibilities

• Represent Jacobs' technical capabilities in assigned regions and at industry events.
• Serve as Technical/Task Lead on large bridge projects and lead design teams.
• Establish work plans and coordinate staff across offices to meet budgets.
• Direct Project Engineers, Engineers and Technicians to ensure schedule and quality.
• Mentor staff and contribute to thought leadership in the field.
• Engage with clients and participate in meetings to support project delivery.
