Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate a broad range of medical equipment with routine to moderate complexity. You will support equipment lifecycle activities and work with clinical staff to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires high school education with 3–5 years of related experience and at least 2 years in electronics, plus proficiency with computers and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years related electronics experience preferred.
• 2 years experience in electronics and basic computer systems required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate electronic and electro‑mechanical instrumentation to manufacturers' specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on patient-care electronic instrumentation.
• Maintain repair/inspection records and assist in installation of capital equipment.
• Source parts, maintain service manuals, and interface with manufacturers as needed.
• Keep up with advances in electronics and hospital equipment changes.
• Participate in after-hours on‑call coverage as required.
• Perform additional duties as needed by Clinical Engineering.
