Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) seeks a seasoned BIM VDC leader to drive modeling, coordination, and project delivery across multiple electrical construction projects.

You will oversee Revit models, clash detection, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and field teams to ensure constructible designs. The role requires strong leadership, deep BIM/VDC knowledge, and the ability to implement industry best practices, develop execution plans, and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM VDC platforms.
• Deep understanding of construction processes, project lifecycles, and electrical construction practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience with BIM automation tools or scripting (e.g., Dynamo).
• Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms.
• Functional knowledge of Total Station tools for field layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of BIM and VDC processes across projects and teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM execution plans aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
• Establish and champion BIM VDC best practices, workflows, and quality benchmarks organization-wide.
• Drive innovation by evaluating and recommending advancements in BIM VDC technologies, processes, and delivery methods.
• Oversee the development and management of detailed 3D models using Revit, Navisworks, and related platforms.
• Direct clash detection and coordination efforts to resolve design conflicts and mitigate risk.
• Ensure the production of accurate field installation and fabrication drawings.
• Facilitate high-level coordination and communication among stakeholders through digital collaboration platforms.
• Oversee multiple BIM VDC projects concurrently, ensuring schedules, deliverables, and quality.
• Support project leadership in constructability reviews, planning, logistics, scheduling, and cost optimization.
• Apply VDC methodologies to enhance planning and construction execution.
• Implement and refine simulation and coordination techniques to improve efficiency.
• Support field layout coordination using Total Station technologies.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical direction to BIM VDC teams.
• Support onboarding and professional development initiatives.
