Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) seeks a BIM/VDC Lead to drive BIM implementation across projects and manage 3D models and coordination efforts. You will lead coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design integrity and constructability, enabling efficient project delivery.

The role emphasizes training teams on BIM/VDC practices, staying current with industry advances, and applying VDC methods to optimize planning and sequencing in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience leading BIM VDC efforts within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in BIM software including Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Electrical construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and maintenance of BIM processes and methodologies on projects.
• Establish and manage BIM execution plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models representing physical and functional project components.
• Conduct clash detection and coordination to identify and resolve design conflicts during preconstruction phases.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure seamless information exchange.
• Apply VDC methodologies to improve planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.
• Provide guidance and training to project teams on BIM and VDC best practices.
