B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Team Lead – HVAC Pipe to supervise the BIM/VDC team and drive model-based output for MEP systems in Florida. The role requires leadership, strong Revit/Navisworks skills, and collaboration with PM, Field Ops, and fabrication teams.

The candidate will mentor Coordinators, Detailers, and Trainees, enforce standards, and promote process improvements while delivering high-quality, clash-free models across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years BIM/VDC or MEP coordination in construction.
• 3+ years leadership/management experience (lead detailer, senior coordinator, supervisor).
• Experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, or large-scale mechanical projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and field installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of coordinated, constructible mechanical models that support fabrication, installation, and project delivery requirements.
• Lead clash detection and resolution with internal teams and external trades.
• Review and approve VDC deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain model integrity across multiple projects with proper structure and version control.
• Provide daily leadership to Coordinators, Detailers, and Trainees; assign workloads and priorities.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Field Operations, Fabrication Shop, and other trades.
• Identify workflow gaps and support refinement of standards, templates, and detailing practices.
• Conduct quality-control reviews and ensure documentation aligns with turnover requirements.
