Job summary

Mi-Tech, a Michels Family of Companies unit, seeks a BIM Coordinator to lead BIM/VDC on major data-center projects. You will manage models, coordinate across internal teams and external partners, and mentor staff to advance in-house BIM execution.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10+ years of BIM/VDC experience, leadership capabilities, and strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Inventor. Travel will be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years BIM/VDC experience.
• Experience with contractors on construction projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal BIM lead/project manager for major projects, including a large-scale data center initiative
• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline BIM models, including clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution
• Manage internal BIM staff and external subconsultants (20–30 technicians)
• Establish, maintain, and improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, and best practices
• Set up and manage project models, coordinates, worksets, and BEPs
• Perform model QA/QC and support milestone deliverables
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams
• Serve as a key communication hub, translating models and technical information for stakeholders
• Coordinate model exchanges with consultants, partners, and external stakeholders
• Support construction teams with model-based coordination, RFIs, and as-built documentation
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and BIM support
• Assist with point clouds, record models, and workflow/process improvements
• Lead BIM/VDC efforts across major project portfolios
• Build, mentor, and develop an internal BIM team
• Perform other duties as assigned
