Job summary

Mi‑Tech, part of the Michels Family of Companies, is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead BIM/VDC execution on large, complex projects, with an immediate focus on a major data center initiative. You will serve as technical lead and project coordinator, managing models and coordinating across internal and external teams to advance in-house BIM execution.

You will mentor team members, develop standards, and help build Mi‑Tech’s long-term BIM capabilities while ensuring constructability and execution

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of BIM/VDC experience.
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor.
• Experience working with contractors on construction projects.
• 3+ years of leadership experience, including mentoring staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (preferred).
• Experience supporting data center construction projects (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal BIM lead and project manager for major projects, including data center initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline BIM models, including clash detection and issue tracking.
• Manage internal BIM staff and external subconsultants (20–30 technicians).
• Establish and continuously improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, and BEP development.
• Set up and manage project models, coordinates, worksets, and BEPs.
• Perform model QA/QC and support milestone deliverables.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with project managers, engineers and field teams.
• Translate models and technical information for stakeholders; manage model exchanges with partners.
