Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned BIM Coordinator to lead BIM/VDC execution on a major data center project in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage models, drive coordination across internal teams and external partners, and help grow Mi-Tech’s in-house BIM capabilities through standards, mentoring, and process improvements. You will balance technical leadership with project coordination, ensure constructability alignment, and support transitioning BIM workflows to full in-house

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years BIM/VDC experience
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor
• Experience working with or for contractors on construction projects
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders
• 3+ years of leadership experience (managing teams or mentoring)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Engineering/Tech degree (Assoc or Bachelors) preferred
• Experience supporting data center construction projects (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel and support project-based assignments
• Initial on-site assignment for project startup (2–6 months)
• Locations include Milwaukee, WI; St. Louis, MO; Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX
• Minimum 4 days/week on-site; periodic weekend travel
• Long-term home base at Michels/Mi-Tech facility; flexible for seniors

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal BIM lead/project manager for major projects including a large data center initiative
• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline BIM models including clash detection and issue resolution
• Manage internal BIM staff and external subconsultants (20–30 technicians)
• Establish and improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, and best practices
• Set up and manage project models, coordinates, worksets, BEPs
• Perform model QA/QC and support milestone deliverables
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, field teams
• Translate models and technical information for stakeholders
• Coordinate model exchanges with consultants and external partners
• Support construction teams with model-based coordination, RFIs, and as-built documentation
• Provide ongoing BIM guidance and support to project teams
• Assist with point clouds, record models, and workflow improvements
• Lead BIM/VDC efforts across major project portfolios
• Build and mentor internal BIM team; transition to fully in-house execution
• Perform other duties as assigned
