Job summary

Mi‑Tech, part of the Michels Family of Companies, seeks a BIM Coordinator to lead BIM/VDC execution on large, complex construction projects, with an immediate focus on a major data center initiative. You will act as technical lead and project coordinator, managing models and coordinating across internal teams and external partners.

You will help build Mi‑Tech’s long-term BIM capabilities by developing standards, mentoring team members, and guiding the transition to fully in-house BIM execution

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of BIM/VDC experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams.
• Experience with contractors on construction projects is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal BIM lead and project manager for major projects, including a data center initiative.
• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline BIM models with clash detection and issue tracking.
• Manage internal BIM staff and external subconsultants (20–30 technicians) with task assignment and quality oversight.
• Establish and continuously improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, and BEP documents.
• Perform model QA/QC and support milestone deliverables; lead BIM coordination meetings across teams.
• Mentor and develop an internal BIM team and drive transition to in-house BIM execution.
